D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser released her economic growth agenda that will be included in her 2026 budget Monday, which included the repeal of a law that has been the source of contention among restaurant and bar owners since it went into effect almost exactly two years ago. Initiative 82 went into effect May 2023, and gradually increased the minimum wage for tipped workers until 2027, when it would match the minimum wage for non-tipped workers.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A Massaponax High School senior was shot and killed during an alleged attempted home burglary early Saturday morning. According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a reported residential burglary in progress where a resident fired shots around 3:00 a.m. on McKenzie Lane in Fredericksburg. That's where they found two people suffering gunshot wounds, and a third individual who was not hurt.
