Researchers at the University of Utah studied how semaglutide, found in Ozempic, and tirzepatide, used in Zepbound and Mounjaro, affect vision. They examined several patients who had vision problems after using semaglutide or tirzepatide. The researchers determined that a rapid change in blood sugar induced by these types of drugs could be the cause of the vision concerns.

The judge overseeing the latest Roundup case has declared a mistrial over comments made by the defendant’s representatives. This continues the trend of wide-ranging results among Roundup lawsuits. According to Law.com, an attorney representing Monsanto referenced a previous alcohol-related criminal charge against the plaintiff during cross-examination. The judge said that the comment constituted serious misconduct. Last Friday, the plaintiff’s representatives filed a motion for a mistrial.

Researchers have uncovered new health concerns tied to a widely used herbicide in the United States. A study published in the Journal of Neuroinflammation this week suggests that exposure to glyphosate – the active ingredient in Roundup – can have serious adverse health effects on the human brain. “Our results are the first to demonstrate that despite an extended recovery period, exposure to glyphosate elicits long-lasting pathological consequences,” the study stated.
