In December 2024, over four million premises on Fibre to the Node (FTTN) or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) connections became eligible to upgrade to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP). So far just over 590,000 homes and businesses have taken advantage of NBN Co’s free upgrades, which sits around a measly 15 per cent.
