The Chatham High School Lady Cavalier Basketball team traveled to Halifax County High School on Monday, December 16 for their second matchup of the season. The Lady Cavaliers defeated the Lady Comets 50-33. Jakiyah Giggetts had a double-double number five of the season with 16 points, 15 rebounds, two 2 assists, and two steals. Sydney Ward also had a double-double number five of the season with 13 points, 17 rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

The Lady Cavaliers travelled to Tunstall High School on Monday, December 9 for their second meeting with the Lady Trojans of the season. The Lady Cavaliers defeated the Trojans 48-45. Jakiyah Giggetts earned her third double-double of the season with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Sydney Ward also earned her third double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Markayla Mayo led the team in assists with seven. Mayo also had three rebounds and three assists.

Jack Reece started playing football 13 years ago in Pittsylvania County Parks and Rec where he developed his love for the game. In the third grade, Reece made a commitment to himself to play college football. He had a strong support system behind him to get him to this point in his career. "I would like to thank my community of teachers, coaches, teammates, family members, and friends, as well as specifically my dad and stepmom," said Reece.

The Chatham Cavalier Volleyball team hosted the Altavista Lady Colonels on Wednesday, October 30, for their last regular season game of the 2024 season. The Lady Colonels defeated the Lady Cavaliers in three close sets with scores of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-19. Alanee Gregory once again led the way for the Lady Cavaliers with six kills, one ace, and 11 digs. Tracee Saunders had four kills and six digs. Braelyn Heath had three kills and 20 digs. Savannah Morris had two aces and five assists.

The Chatham Cavalier Cross Country team traveled to Anglers Park on Wednesday, October 23 for the Greater Danville Metro Cross Country Championship 2024 meet. The Cavaliers competed against 17 high schools from the area. Jaime Simental showed off for the Cavaliers placing 14th out of 141 athletes. Barrett Scott placed 29th and Devon Merricks placed 33th to round out the top three for the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers placed 6th as a team in the meet.
