    Don’t bother looking for Marvel Studios in this year’s Hall H panel list for the San Diego Comic-Con 2025. With the delay of Avengers: Doomsday from May 2026 until December, the studio has decided to hold off any major announcements and with the film still in production, they want to avoid suspending filming just to bring the cast to Southern California and then back again. That doesn’t mean Marvel is completely skipping the convention though.

    Ralph Macchio is back on the big screen in a Karate Kid film, a place he hasn’t been in 36 years. Macchio starred as Daniel LaRusso in The Karate Kid 1, 2 and 3 in the ’80s, before sitting out 1994’s The Next Karate Kid and 2010’s The Karate Kid remake. He reprised his role in six seasons of Cobra Kai and is now back for Karate Kid: Legends, starring alongside Jackie Chan, who appeared in the 2010 film.

    If you saw the new live-action Lilo & Stitch film last weekend you may have noticed a character missing from the original animation version. Captain Gantu of the Galactic Federation is no where to be seen and according to director Dean Fleischer Camp, this was to “free up real estate”. He told Cinema Blend, “Gantu was one of those things that just didn’t work so well in live action. We explored it a bit, but ultimately, we had to make the decision.

    It was clear that Disney had a hit on its hands back at CinemaCon, when a sizzle reel showed Stitch popping up in several Mouse House movies. That was further accentuated by recently named Global Distribution Boss Andrew Cripps taking the stage at Caesar’s Las Vegas Colosseum in a Stitch jacket alongside IP mastermind, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman. Deadline reports that Disney did indeed have a plan that it’d make less live-action features based on classic animated titles.

    Alex Garland is set to direct a live-action film adaptation of the hit video game “Elden Ring”, produced by A24 and Bandai Namco. Garland, who recently wrote and directed “Warfare” for A24, will also write the coming feature, based on the mythological story by George R. R. Martin. Garland had been previously rumored to be attached to the project. “Elden Ring” will be produced by Peter Rice alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, Martin and Vince Gerardis.
