Sue Bloomingdale says she’s had enough. The owner of Sisters Rock’n Gems was heading into work recently when she was confronted by a man wielding a machete in an alley behind her store at 1476 Fourth Ave. She had just turned into the alley to park when she saw the man trying to break into the neighbouring store. “He saw that I saw him, and that’s when he pulled the machete out,” she said.

It wasn’t until they got out of high school that one performer took to the stage. “Musical theatre is my home and heart,” Tyree Corfe said. “I never touched anything theatrical until university and that’s because I didn’t think I was allowed to do boy roles and I didn’t want to do girl roles. I wasn’t that into interpreting those characters.” In their first year at UNBC the university had a drama club and a musical club. The drama club was presenting Peter Pan and Wendy in September 2017.

When the family all went to Disneyland in January 2017, her daughter noticed her mother slapping her foot on the ground when she walked. Miracle Theatre has hit two major milestones as a result of recent fundraising efforts from the presentation of two Norm Foster plays in repertory. The announcement came Tuesday, June 17, that they exceeded the fundraising goal of $200,000 with a grand total of $209,433.40.
