What has been your journey of disability? My name is Annabelle, I live in Buckinghamshire with my husband. I fell ill in 2007 with a rare illness called neuro myelitis optica that left me severely visually impaired and paralysed from T4 /T5, and I am a full-time manual wheelchair user. i went from being a fit, active 25 year old, to feeling like there was no hope and no future.

Tell us about yourselfI’m 48 years old, a wife, mum of 2 teenagers and a dog, and I live in Brisbane. I have a number of conditions which are part of my disability including Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and CREST Scleroderma. What has been your journey of disability? Around 7 years ago I went to my doctor as I was having issues with my fingers, especially in winter as they would go extremely white and cold, and they became very painful as well.

My name is Kendra Erhardt, I am from Alberta, Canada and am 32 years old. I have been a full-time manual wheelchair user for the past 5 years as a result of a spinal cord injury sustained in a sports accident. I started Wheelie Girl Travel as a platform to raise awareness about living with a spinal cord injury and providing accessible travel information. Prior to my injury I had the privilege to do a lot of travelling.

The long-awaited final version of The Pensions Regulator’s (TPR) new code of practice, the General Code of practice, replacing 10 codes of practice has been published. This 171-page document also sets out TPR’s expectations in relation to The Occupational Pension Schemes (Governance) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and enhances existing guidance in some areas, including ESG, diversity, scheme continuity and cyber controls.

Tell us about yourself My name is Jo and I’m 56 years young. I live on the traditional Country of the Kaurna people (Adelaide, South Australia) with my partner Lea-ann and two dogs (Cavoodles) – Peanut and Tobi. My 27-year-old daughter lives close by with her fiancé. What has been your journey of disability? I was born with my disability, although I wasn’t formally diagnosed until the age of 45. This was after a very long list of seemingly unrelated and, ironically, disconnected issues.

Tahira Kelly is a 26-year-old Aboriginal woman with cerebral palsy. Born in Katherine, Northern Territory Tahira moved to Geraldton in the Midwest of Western Australia at the age of 2 where she has lived ever since.
