PETERSON Anyone who's lived in Bakersfield for at least a few years has likely heard this insight: There are three beautiful weeks of weather in our community each April and each October. The implication is that for much of the rest of the year, you'll roast in the heat, save for some months when you'll "freeze" in the cold. (Definitions of "freezing" aren't always aligned with what the National Weather Service would tell you.)
