Chronic bed rest (BR) is often used as a model for studying the effects of prolonged immobility and has been shown to result in significant physiological and neuromechanical adaptations that affect various bodily functions (Pišot et al., 2016; Schefold et al., 2020). Among these adaptations, deteriorations in postural balance control and postural equilibrium are particularly critical because they are essential for human mobility and stability (Saumur et al., 2020).
