2. Materials and Methods 2.1. Setting and ParticipantsThis multicentre, prospective cohort study included patients of all ages with moderate-to-severe traumatic injuries admitted to the regional trauma centres of southeastern and northern Norway at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) and University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), respectively. OUH serves approximately 3 million people [23], and UNN serves approximately 482,000 people.
