I was wandering around the store picking up some groceries last night, and I came upon the display of figures from the upcoming “A Minecraft Movie,” a film I don’t really care about, and there he stood. Jack Black, in all his 3 3/4″ scale glory. Feeling slightly more creative than usual and annoyed because the super glue I bought wasn’t working with the photobooth I had printed off, I set up the camera and recorded this quick and dirty unboxing/first impressions review.

The February 2025 PlayStation State of Play didn’t have a ton for me. Over the last year, I’ve upgraded to a gaming laptop + Steam Deck combo, and as a result, I’ve largely fallen off of my consoles. I still favor the Xbox ecosystem a lot just because of Game Pass, but I turned off my PS+ renewal in January and didn’t look back. That’s not to say there wasn’t stuff I wanted to check out.

You’ve probably seen me wax poetic about the current run of “Birds of Prey,” but perhaps not as often as I should. I was first getting into comics when the original series, which took then-sidelined heroines Barbara Gordon/Oracle/Batgirl and Dinah Lance/Black Canary and quickly thrust them back into A-list territory, was becoming a hot commodity. Sadly, I didn’t get a chance to read it in its prime, so I leaped at the opportunity to be on board with this one from day one.
