If you’ve been following me on Twitch, you know we finally wrapped up the massive, 2.5-day playthrough of “Avowed,” the latest RPG from the minds at Obsidian Entertainment. I hadn’t planned on streaming “Avowed.” I hadn’t even expected much.

Please, allow me this brief indulgence to step away from talking about Jack Black toys and Game Pass games to talk about my actual current addiction, Max’s “The Pitt,” and a weirdly calming hour of television that involved a mass trauma response that I’m still thinking about this morning.

I was wandering around the store picking up some groceries last night, and I came upon the display of figures from the upcoming “A Minecraft Movie,” a film I don’t really care about, and there he stood. Jack Black, in all his 3 3/4″ scale glory. Feeling slightly more creative than usual and annoyed because the super glue I bought wasn’t working with the photobooth I had printed off, I set up the camera and recorded this quick and dirty unboxing/first impressions review.

Over the last year, I’ve upgraded to a gaming laptop + Steam Deck combo, and as a result, I’ve largely fallen off of my consoles. I still favor the Xbox ecosystem a lot just because of Game Pass, but I turned off my PS+ renewal in January and didn’t look back. That’s not to say there wasn’t stuff I wanted to check out.

Sadly, the people in charge won't see or care about today's report because they're too busy picking fights with strangers and vague tweeting suicidal ideation from the social media account where they interact with the site's readers to care about their teams.

@jcbaggee @elmayimbe They don't deserve any amount of respect, really. Everything good coming out of CBR these days is on the writers and the editors, not the people in charge.

With the changes to block, the change to AI opt-in, and the just general lack of reach, it sounds like it's time indefinite Twitter hiatus! I'm literally everywhere else as JCBaggee If you want to reach me about writing stuff: [email protected]
