WORCESTER – Coming into Saturday night’s Division II state championship, No. 4 Walpole baseball had outscored its opponents 23-5 during its previous four postseason games as the Timberwolves made their second consecutive appearance in the D-II finals. Before this game, though, Walpole had previously fallen in the D-I state finals in 2005 and the D-II state finals in 2024.
