Florida State University campus (AP)TALLAHASSEE, FL (WLNE) — An active shooter suspect has been taken into custody stemming from a Thursday afternoon incident at Florida State University in Tallahassee, according to a report from ABC News. Police responded to the scene of the incident near the Student Union with the FBI assisting, and four people have been injured. According to ABC News a suspect in the shooting is in custody and there is an ongoing search for possible additional shooters.

According to police chief Daniel Dorgan, off-duty Rochester officer Daniel Allende and Dartmouth officer Ernest Belliveau jumped into action when an elderly woman suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a pole Wednesday afternoon.

(WLNE) — Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha announced a $213,000 settlement with a national real estate management corporation accused of charging illegal application fees to prospective tenants in Rhode Island. The settlement will refund $98,250 to affected consumers and requires A.R. Building Company (ARBC), Inc to pay Rhode Island $114,750.
