    COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police say a Pee Dee man wanted in a deadly shooting on Wednesday night has been arrested. The department said on Saturday that investigators had arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Jackson from Hartsville in connection with the deadly shooting of a 27-year-old man in the 100 block of Doctor's Circle. Jackson was charged with murder and armed robbery with a deadly weapon.

    RIDGEWAY, S.C. — Investigators are searching for a man accused of shooting someone and leaving him bleeding in the Ridgeway area on Thursday. The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office alerted the public on Friday afternoon that it was looking for Karl Gibson in connection with a shooting that apparently happened in the 2600 block of Longtown Road. Deputies arrived at the scene and found a person lying on the ground and bleeding.

    BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S.C. — The Saluda County Coroner's Office has released the cause and manner of death of a woman who was found deceased in Batesburg-Leesville after being reported missing earlier the same day. Coroner Angie Rita has ruled the death of 82-year-old Edwinton Henderson as an accident related to a medical event complicated by exposure to the extreme cold on Jan. 14.
