To the ‘friction in VR isn’t a big deal’ crowd, I’d like to point out that social media video apps have adopted portrait video because people don’t want to rotate their phones to watch in landscape. Next time you think ‘5 minutes of setup isn’t a big deal’, just remember that.

Apple limiting users to a 3m x 3m area reinforces my belief that it's not at all interested in this being a #VR gaming device, probably excepting stuff like Candy Crush. This is great news for gamers. It'll likely lead companies like Meta to double down on gaming features.

It looks so far like Apple is going for creatively iterative rather than fully innovative with #AppleVisionPro and I think that's probably the right approach for now. Most of what's being shown isn't necessarily new, but *it is* very refined. #EyeSight is still creepy, though.

Cautiously optimistic to see what Apple has in store at #WWDC23. I'm not gonna lie & say I don't have reservations about them entering the #XR space given their business practices, but I'm certain whatever they show off will be something innovative, or at least interesting.

I can't be the only one who is irrationally excited about the return of The Seventh Guest, right? All in all I thought the @MetaQuestVR showcase was pretty good, though I would have loved to see at least one PC VR title in the mix.
