The most important scarce resources in politics are time and attention. Sure, money matters, but savvy politicians can always work their networks to seed, find, or harvest more money. No amount of political savvy or connections can generate more time or attention. Nowhere is this problem more prevalent than in the area of health policy. Health policy is often highly technical, shrouded in verbiage that is not accessible to the average voter or legislator, and can change rapidly.

Jesse Louis Jackson was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Greenville, South Carolina, a town firmly entrenched in the racially segregated Deep South.

Stuff that works. https://t.co/h57NkzTWqk

So fun to welcome accomplished scholars and teachers like @vj_judson to our department. A total of four (!) new faculty coming into our department next year—all talented, and committed to both teaching and scholarship.

Excited to share that I’ll be joining @WCU as a Visiting Assistant Professor this fall! I’m deeply thankful to my advisor @bcburden, my family, and my fiancé for their support. Grateful as well to everyone at UW-Madison and to all who have helped me get here. Go Catamounts!
