Thank you to the new generation of activists who have committed their time and energy to preserving the open space behind Tee Time from development. Possibly losing the opportunity to see heron and egret up close on morning walks is a sad thought. I’m confident the Citizens for the Carpinteria Bluffs will succeed in getting the job done especially with help from the seasoned veterans.

Fairy tales really DO come true. A loud line of overdressed, undersexed young people stretched down the block and around the corner. Bodies swayed to the deep, pounding bass emanating from the nightclub on the corner. Four women, older than most of those waiting in line, swaggered their way to the nightclub’s entrance. Four pairs of sky-high heels clicked past the dancing horde. A busty redhead in a low-cut deep purple minidress led the group, strutting and greeting those waving as they walked by.
