1 BACKGROUND Because between 15% and 22% of prostate cancer (PCa) patients suffer from comorbid major depression,1, 2 with concurrent increased emergency room visits, hospitalisations, outpatient visits, and excessive risk of death,3 methods of assisting these men to avoid becoming severely depressed comprise an important aspect of overall PCa treatment protocols.
