Lee grad Paige Low is heading to America’s track and field mecca in Eugene, Oregon. Low, an Oklahoma graduate student, has qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the women’s discus. Article continues below this adLow punched her ticket by finishing ninth with a throw of 179 feet, 10 inches, in the discus during the NCAA West Regionals on Saturday in College Station. The top 12 in each event at the regional meet qualified for the national championships.

The Legacy and Midland High football teams have unveiled their schedules for the 2025 season. The Bulldogs open the 2025 season with a home game against Southlake Carroll at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at Astound Broadband Stadium, while the Rebels visit Allen for their season opener at 7 p.m. Aug. 29. Playing professional baseball is supposed to be difficult, but Midland RockHounds pitcher Gage Jump has a smooth transition thus far. Jump, a left-hander in his first pro season, has gone 7-1 with a 1.80 earned run average and has 67 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched between high Single-A Lansing and Midland.
