    Australian plus-size retailer City Chic has marked its rebranding strategy with a new retail concept launch in Sydney’s west. The brand has officially opened its newest location in Wetherill Park at Stockland Shopping Centre.     Apparel spending in New Zealand has fallen by NZ$6 million in April 2025 compared to the prior month, new seasonally adjusted data from Stats NZ revealed. This has offset the overall lift in retail spending across New Zealand, which rose just 0.2 percent, or by NZ$12 million in month-on-month terms. These Stats NZ figures are based on electronic card transactions data.

    Australian-born streetwear brand Culture Kings has helped drive a 6 per cent lift in group sales for its US-based parent company A.K.A. Brands in the Australia/New Zealand market for the first quarter of 2025. The sales lift across AU/NZ follows a 9.6 per cent fall in local sales for the US group in the fourth quarter of 2024, and an 11.1 per cent fall in sales for the full-year last year.
