Background: For head and neck pancreatic cancer it is difficult to differentiate whether vascular involvement is a true biologic predictor of survival due to technical issues. Splenic artery (SpA) and vein (SpV) are the same-grade branches of the celiac axis and portal vein as the hepatic artery and superior mesenteric vein and therefore a good model to study the link between radiologic involvement and survival.
