    An unintended impact of the tariff war with the U.S. could be on our health. Tariffs invariably contribute to inflation and raise prices, and we will likely see the effects at the grocery store first. Food, especially fresh food, is perishable and can only be stored for a short period of time. So when existing stocks are depleted, new purchases will be subject to any new tariffs and the costs will almost certainly be passed on to the consumer.
