Coventry achieved a string of unwanted firsts as their Premier League return dream took a major hit on Friday night. Frank Lampard's side were beaten 2-1 at home by Sunderland in the first leg of their semi-final tie. It is the first time the Sky Blues have tasted defeat in the EFL play-offs inside 90 minutes in what was their seventh match. Their only previous defeat came on penalties to Luton in the Championship final two seasons ago.

Tommy Fury made a winning return to the ring on Friday with a victory over Kenan Hanjalic in Hungary - before calling out former foe Jake Paul. The British boxer secured a unanimous points decision win over his opponent in their six-round cruiserweight affair at the MTK Arena in Budapest. In doing so, he inflicts just the second professional defeat on the Bosnian fighter. Hanjalic had won five of his six bouts heading into his clash with the former Love Island star.

Casemiro is keen to remain at Manchester United for the remainder of his contract, talkSPORT understands. The Brazilian midfielder will snub the chance to leave Old Trafford this summer. It comes after the 33-year-old established himself as a key man following Ruben Amorim's arrival as manager. Casemiro's current United deal is set to expire at the end of next season. However, the club do hold the option to extend his contract by a further year through to the summer of 2027.
