Learner Tien has made more history as his record-breaking form continues on grass. The American is in action at the Mallorca Championships this week ahead of Wimbledon. His run in Spain has now reached the quarter-finals after a victory over world no.10 Ben Shelton. Tien saw off his compatriot, who was the tournament's top seed, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) in the last 16 on Wednesday. In doing so, he became the youngest American to beat a top ten player on grass at just 19 years and 205 days.

Rob Page has returned to management for the first time since being sacked by Wales. The former national team boss has been appointed manager of Liverpool's under-21 side. It marks his return to the dugout a year on from leaving his role with Wales. Page was dismissed in June 2024 after they failed to qualify for Euro 2024. He had spent four years in the role including an initial spell as caretaker boss.

Collin Morikawa had a tense exchange with a journalist as he responded to reports he has split from his caddie less than a month before The Open. The 2021 winner has parted ways with Joe Greiner, with the news breaking on Wednesday. Morikawa had been preparing to take part in the pro-am at this week's Rocket Classic when the story became public. He will instead be supported by former college teammate and Korn Ferry Tour professional KK Limbhasut in Detroit.

Tom Aspinall's dad and coach has taken a swipe at the UFC's handling of his interim title announcement. However, he stopped short of labelling the incident 'pathetic' in a scathing rant aimed at the promotion. Aspinall became the third undisputed English champion in UFC history on Saturday night following Jon Jones' retirement. His ascension from interim champion was confirmed by Dana White during his post-fight press conference at UFC Baku.

Jonny Clayton has revealed his wife stopped him choosing a fan-favourite song for his walk-on music. 'The Ferret' makes his way to the oche to the sound of Chuck Berry's 'Johnny B. Goode'. However, it could have been a very different track had Clayton got his way. The Welshman instead wanted to use 'Mr Brightside' by American band The Killers. His original choice has since become loved amongst darts fans having been adopted by rival Nathan Aspinall.
