Andy Markus, a head custodian in Utah’s Canyons School District, was named the 2025 Education Support Professional (ESP) of the Year. He received the award from NEA president Becky Pringle on March 22 at the ESP National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Markus not only shines in his work to keep his school clean and safe, he’s a dedicated student mentor and fierce union activist and ESP advocate.
