Aidan Harris Igiehon and Taiwo Badmus finished as joint-top scorers with 20 points apiece. Igiehon sparkled throughout and was heading for a 100% conversion rate from the floor, only for a late three point attempt not to drop, the Clondalkin man also had five rebounds and a steal.

Jamie McGrath has opted to terminate his Wigan Athletic contract and leave the club with immediate effect. The Latics will start next season in Sky Bet League One on minus eight points after being penalised by the English Football League over late payment of wages under the club's previous owners. They were bought last month by local businessman Mike Danson, who has since paid off all the club’s outstanding debts.

Kerry forward Tony Brosnan will not be available to Jack O'Connor and his selectors for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final against Dublin owing to a recurrence of a respiratory condition. Brosnan came off the bench for Paul Geaney in the Kingdom's semi-final win over Derry, and in the last few seasons has made a telling effect for the county when introduced. He no doubt would have played some part against the Dubs this weekend and has scored 1-09 in the championship so far.

Brighton have signed Brazilian defender Igor Julio from Fiorentina for €17m. The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Seagulls and becomes Brighton's fifth signing of the summer. Having played in the lower leagues in Austria and Italy, Igor left SPAL to join Fiorentina three years ago, making 110 appearances for the Serie A club.
