Jamie McGrath has opted to terminate his Wigan Athletic contract and leave the club with immediate effect. The Latics will start next season in Sky Bet League One on minus eight points after being penalised by the English Football League over late payment of wages under the club's previous owners. Kerry forward Tony Brosnan will not be available to Jack O'Connor and his selectors for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final against Dublin owing to a recurrence of a respiratory condition. Brighton have signed Brazilian defender Igor Julio from Fiorentina for €17m. The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Seagulls and becomes Brighton's fifth signing of the summer. Having played in the lower leagues in Austria and Italy, Igor left SPAL to join Fiorentina three years ago, making 110 appearances for the Serie A club.
