Since 1965, the City of Auburn has honored our veterans with a parade Veterans Day weekend. Plan to join in this year's event to pay tribute, thank and honor veterans and active military members on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m.on Main Street in downtown Auburn. If you've never been before, you'll be in awe. If you're a long-time attendee, you'll be in for another great event. The 2024 parade marks the 59th anniversary of this signature Auburn event.

After a few years hiatus, festival goers are revved up and ready to celebrate. Freedom Fest is returning to JBLM! On Saturday, June 29, revel in a full day of pre-Fourth of July festivities at Memorial Stadium and surrounding areas. Freedom Wheels Car ShowFirst up, the Freedom Wheels Car Show, will be steering crowds toward automotive admiration. Displayed throughout the day, cars brought in from community members will vie for coveted awards, which will be announced later in the afternoon.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD -Team McChord's 7th Airlift Squadron has been awarded multiple prestigious awards by Air Mobility Command including the General James H. Doolittle "Aircrew of the Year" Award and the General Joseph Smith "Airlift Squadron of the Year" Trophy. The General Doolittle award is presented to the aircrew that displayed the most exemplary service, unwavering bravery, and determination while accomplishing their mission under difficult conditions.
