    Last year I learned that I’m of age to get a colonoscopy; my doctor told me due to my medical history I qualified to do Cologuard (where you send a sample of your poop in the mail for testing) rather than come in for a full colonoscopy. I couldn’t decide which to do; avoiding the hassle of setting up/attending an appointment sounded good, but so did the drugs from a full test. Who else could I trust with this decision besides witches? Their input is below.

    Pat Anderson was sworn in as a District 65 school board member in May. She joined the school board race after issues at Bessie Rhodes, like its abrupt middle school closure made her take action. Before her school board role she worked with the district for 35 years as a physical therapist who traveled to schools in the district working with students on mobility issues.

    I didn’t use a doula when I gave birth. Back then (2012 and 2015), I had the impression that a doula was a nice-to-have, and not compatible with the labor and delivery I planned, which included a hospital and an epidural. In retrospect, after talking to doulas like Heather McCullough, of Evanston’s 312Doulas, I think a doula would have helped me tremendously, not just during the birth but especially after, with support and help at home.
