    My college experience was defined by many moments. It was a big move from home for me; every second spent in Milwaukee has been one that has felt almost integral to my becoming. Whether it was the first time I went to the Public Market or attending my first Marquette basketball game, the experiences that I have accumulated throughout the last four years have been unforgettable fragments that constitute the person I am now.

    The Stand Up for Science protests, headed in Washington D.C., are expected to bring thousands together. Inspired by the 2017 March for Science catalyzed by Trump’s first administration, Stand Up for Science organizers are looking to advance several policy goals through collective action, with 32 rallies taking place throughout several countries. The closest rally to Milwaukee is currently taking place at Madison’s capitol building.

    There are still a few chances for you to have your voice heard about the Milwaukee County Transit System’s MOVE 2025 initiative. The initiative creates the opportunity for community feedback on future bus routes. Because of  new housing developments, entertainment hot spots and changing traffic patterns, the county seeks to ensure it is still serving residents and businesses as they see fit.

    If you or anyone you know have children from the ages of 3 to 5, now is the time to enroll them in school. Kindergarten enrollment season kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Milwaukee Public Schools’ first kindergarten fair of the year. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. What you need to know According to the district’s news release, children who are enrolled during this period, which runs from Feb. 1 to March.
