Few moments compare with waking up at 3am while sailing through Antarctica and seeing jagged peaks set against a pinky-amber sky. That warm sunrise glow from my cabin window in the quiet of the small hours is one of many enchanting moments I’ve experienced in the world’s coldest, driest and southernmost continent (most of the others involved penguins).
