Finland is embracing collaboration to develop innovative and clean solutions for maritime transport and offroad machinery. Through a collaborative approach, a Finnish consortium is demonstrating how academics and industry professionals can prepare together for the maritime fuels of the future. The project, named Flexible Clean Propulsion Technologies (Flex-CPT), has ambitions to cut emissions by up to 100%.

If hydrogen is going to help maritime decarbonisation, it needs to be stored effectively and safely, and ports are leading the way. The demand for offshore renewable energy is outpacing available energy storage facilities, yet underwater or subsea conditions could offer a stable and secure setting for storage, also stabilising renewable output.

Private companies have been offering chances to go to space, from a "quick" suborbit to staying over on the International Space Station (ISS). There is now a growing debate, as to whether this is really a good or bad thing. Perhaps, it is not all black and white, just as space itself is not all black and white.

As many 40% of onshore and offshore remote rotational shift workers experienced suicidal thoughts a survey by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) revealed. About a third are clinically depressed on rotation. The stark statistics sparked support to improve mental wellbeing in energy with a 10-point framework called the Mental Health and Wellbeing Charter.
