The Waldorf Microwave, introduced in 1989, is an analog/digital hybrid synthesizer, featuring wavetable oscillators paired with an analog VCF and VCA.     This video, via Malo Beats, takes a look at old-school beatmaking with the Rossum SP-1200 sampler. The Rossum SP-1200 is a reissue of the classic E-mu Systems SP-1200. E-mu Systems co-founder and original SP-12 and SP-1200 designer Dave Rossum duplicated the analog and digital electronics of the original 12-bit drum machine sampler. The Rossum SP-1200 maintains exactly the same 12-bit linear data format and 26.04 kHz sampling rate as all vintage SP-12 and SP-1200 units.
