    MOWATA - A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for John Lawrence Schultz, 88, who passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital. Father Eric Groner, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, officiated for the services. The family had requested visiting hours be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata.
