Guvernul liberal din Polonia a creat un program numit „Umbrela Electorală”, menit să monitorizeze spațiul online și să combată dezinformarea și atacurile cibernetice rusești în preajma alegerilor, pentru a nu se repeta ceea ce ei numesc „scenariul românesc”. Pentru cealaltă tabără, conservatorii, „scenariul românesc” are o altă conotație și anume anularea alegerilor de către guvern în eventualitatea în care va câștiga propriul candidat.
