I am so taken with the Chilean-born actor, whose full name is José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, that I will watch anything he's in even if it's in a genre I usually avoid. Case in point: The Last of Us, which premiered its second season on April 13, 2025 has me in a choke hold even though I normally avoid anything that is about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world.

I am a manicure and pedicure lover who pretty much never goes to a salon to get either. Why? Well, there's the whole investment of money and time that I don't necessarily want to spend regularly. But even if I did have the money and time available for regular mani/pedi sessions, I probably wouldn't set up a recurring appointment because I'm more of an at-home manicure and pedicure kind of gal. Relaxing at home while I pamper my hands and feet with my own products and doodads turns into "Me" time.

I also feel like with some clever folding, you could find a way to fold the towel so it still looks like a bunny, but has a bottom that holds in the gifts so they don't fall out. Or you could wrap the towel around a small basket and still get the bunny effect.

The weather is warming up and I want to celebrate. In years past, I might have taken myself on a shopping spree that was really not in my budget. But this year, what with the price of eggs and everything else skyrocketing, I'm being much more careful with my money. The 97th Oscars were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Conan O'Brien hosted and brought the laughs. Before the sun had even set, the stars came out to honor and celebrate each other during Hollywood's biggest nigh t of the year. Of course, they dressed to impress as they walked the red carpet. Some may have not made quite the impression they were hoping for, but they certainly gave us something to talk about.

I don't know about you, but I'm over here living my best bilingual life. That means that sometimes I want to express myself in English, other times only Spanish will do, and Spanglish is always an option. The language I choose to express myself in also depends on the person I'm expressing myself to. Like if I want to give my mom a Valentine's Day card, I'm going to write it in Spanish for her because that's the language we speak to each other in and that's her preferred language.

Something I learned from my mom is that a good card is a gift in itself. To this day, she takes such pleasure in finding just the perfect card for the occasion. But what if you can't find the perfect card that says exactly what you want to say? That's OK because you make one! This Valentine's Day, I plan on handing out a few handmade cards and I want to encourage you to do the same.
