WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A dog died after failing to make it out of a Waco home that caught fire overnight, the fire department said. The fire erupted at a home at 3317 Bagby at 1:07 a.m. and the first crew arrived at the scene at 1:10 a.m.Firefighters encountered heavy flames from the home. “Crews began an aggressive fire attack and brought the fire under control at 1:23 am,” the department said. No injuries were reported by the occupants or fire personnel.

Marlin, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable take us to Marlin, where we had the great pleasure to meet sara Payne who has been a huge hero at the Marlin library. She has managed fundraising efforts, offered after school programs, and helped with home school resources to help the once at-risk little library to return to being a mainstay in the community. “I interviewed and got hired, and then a couple weeks later, they said we have essentially four months left to stay open.

TEMPLE, Texas - Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Temple, where we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Wes Teeters. Wes is the proud owner of Wes’s Burger Shack and is known not only for his delicious burgers and onion rings, but for his generosity. Wes stepped up in the aftermath of the tornado, feeding around two-thousand people including the linemen who were there trying to restore power, but he does not take the credit.
