Michigan Wolverines football certainly had its chances to win, but lost 27-17 at Washington last season. The truth is, the Maize and Blue weren’t the only ones to travel a far distance and suffer a setback. In fact, 14 of the 18 Big Ten teams in the new-look conference last season crossed multiple time zones for a road game and lost. Conference programs were 6-22 in those situations last regular season.

Michigan Wolverines basketball has only two scholarship players who stuck with the program after a coaching change to Dusty May last offseason and will return for the 2025-26 campaign — graduate guard Nimari Burnett and graduate forward Will Tschetter. A 6-foot-5, 200-pounder, Burnett made 40 percent of his threes last season, averaging 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest. He started all 37 games.

The Committee On Infractions hearing for Michigan’s alleged illegal scouting case started Friday and will continue into the weekend. Former low-level staffer Connor Stalions, the centerpiece of the investigation, made his appearance in Indianapolis, as captured on a phone camera by Sports Illustrated writer Pat Forde. The actual hearing is not open for the media or public. In an article leading into the hearing, Forde discussed what exactly is at stake.
