When I asked Songezo and Mmusi if they will support VAT if finance minister says there is no other option but to go ahead with VAT come 1st of May, they both didn’t give clear answers. Songezo says they will look at minister’s reasons. Mmusi seemed to say they can’t support it

Helen Zille tells me on #FaceTheNation that if President Ramaphosa reshuffles Cabinet to remove DA ministers, “that will signal the end of the GNU”. She says relationship between ANC and DA doesn’t need to be reset with new rules. She says ANC must go read statement of intent.
