It has been fashionable to bet against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl the last two years because you could make a case for their opponent, especially their offense. With the noteworthy exception of a Scoop-6 touchdown off a Jalen Hurts fumble, the Eagles dominated in Super Bowl LVII. Philadelphia held the ball for almost 36 minutes with scoring drives of 8, 8, 11, 12, and 17 plays - and still lost.

Hurts has consistently produced passing numbers lower than this by design. But, factor in that in the only full game Hurts played against the Commanders this season, he threw for 221 yards and the other game he played is when he suffered an injury. A defense keying on shutting down Saquon Barkley will give Hurts opportunities over the top. If A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith each get a 50/50 downfield splash play, this number is much more reachable.

"America's Underdog" is a legit playoff road hound. This bet more than likely requires the Eagles to have a two-score lead at minimum in the final minutes. The Commanders have beat the odds with less talent than their opponents. Two-thirds of early bets are on Washington. There are times when you like being an underdog in that equation. Saquon Barkley determines the final number; if he's on, lay the points. Betting against Tom Brady in the playoffs was, historically in GOAT-speak, a tragic mistake.

All eyes are going to be on the clash of Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen when the Bills host the Baltimore Ravens, but the running backs will be just as critical. In the 2023 regular season, Cook had just two games with 18 or more carries. In two playoff games, he had 18 carries in both. In the regular season this year, he never had more the 20 carries. In last week's win, he had 23 carries and didn't play the fourth quarter. When the Bills get to the playoffs, Cook gets the chance to cook.
