Back in early March LEGO revealed set 72037: Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart – a rather hefty new set and the latest in the Super Mario theme. Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently 75 percent off. It has become the seventh best performer on Steam. Counter-Strike 2 remains in the top spot. Last week we brought you the news that indie title Schedule I failed to dethrone Counter-Strike 2 as the top money maker on Steam. With another week gone by this situation hasn’t changed, but the top ten list has a new addition in the form of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Lawrence of Arabia returns to local theatres on 18th April. It is part of the Ster-Kinekor Throwback campaign. Tickets are only R50 per person. Lawrence of Arabia, the 1962 movie which many consider to be the greatest piece of filmmaking ever, will return to South African theatres next week thanks to Ster-Kinekor and its campaign to re-run movies. This Throwback campaign not only returns movies to the big screen but also asks for less money in exchange.

The official Steam top sellers, released by Valve itself, have been updated to cover the past week of the period 1st April to 8th April 2025. The big news here is that the crime co-op title Schedule I has managed to be a remarkable success, but that has not been enough to topple Counter-Strike 2.

The Mini Bust Collection is a new Marvel subtheme from LEGO. The collection begins with Iron Man and Spider-Man. This seems to be an evolution of LEGO’s helmet range. LEGO has announced a new subtheme inside of the Marvel theme known as the “Mini Bust Collection” which, exactly as the name suggests, gives customers buildable busts of famous superheroes. The company has kicked the subtheme off with the reveal of two new sets: the MK4 Iron Man armour and the Iron Spider-Man.

The Transformers Compendium comic Kickstarter has gone live. The $40 000 goal was reached in two minutes. The campaign is currently sitting at $1 754 725. At the beginning of March we brought you the news that Hasbro and Skybound were planning the launch of a Kickstarter to collect the original Transformers comics in one place – the Compendium. That Kickstarter campaign has since gone live and, in less than 24 hours, it has been a massive hit.
