Gayle Anderson reports KTLA has been following since July 2024, the unique project of replacing the distressed deck of the historic Battleship Iowa, also known as the Battleship of Presidents, USS IOWA was outfitted in World War II to be the flagship that carried President Franklin Roosevelt across the Atlantic in 1943 for meetings with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin.

Gayle Anderson reports the Butterfly Pavilion takes flight at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) for the spring and summer months. Visitors can walk among hundreds of butterflies in NHM’s outdoor, open-air netted enclosure. The seasonal experience also features colorful native plants and plenty of natural light to help guests see these creatures flutter and fly.
