Today may be Saturday, but the Netflix streaming service has just unveiled the first 6 minutes of season 2 of their hit Addams Family series Wednesday, which started filming in Ireland last May, wrapping production at the end of November. Those 6 minutes can be seen in the embed above – and that’s not the only Wednesday news we have to share! At the TUDUM event, a casting announcement revealed that —Netflix recently announced that season 2 of the show will be split into two batches.

After being delayed several months by the writers’ strike and the actors’ strike, season 5 of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things (which is also the last season of the show) finally went into production at the start of 2024 with a twelve-month shooting schedule, wrapping at the end of December. We’ve heard that series creators the Duffer Brothers have been working hard to get the season ready for release by the end of the year – and now we know exactly when the premiere date is.

Director Guillermo del Toro has spent the last year and a half working on one of his dream projects, an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic tale Frankenstein that is set up at the Netflix streaming service. Netflix is currently holding their global fan event, TUDUM, promoting several of their upcoming films and TV shows – and as part of the event, they have unveiled a trailer for Frankenstein! The first season of the Netflix series Squid Game premiered back in September of 2021. On December 26th, 2024, after a three-year wait, the streaming service finally released season 2 of the show. Thankfully, we’re not in for another long wait between seasons, as the third and final season of the show will be coming along on June 27th – and at their TUDUM event, Netflix just unveiled a trailer for the new season! I was only about 7 years old when I first watched writer/director Robert Resnikoff’s 1990 supernatural horror thriller The First Power – and as you might imagine, the things that movie had to show me shook my world and creeped the hell out of me. I loved it! I have counted The First Power as one of my favorites ever since, so it’s very cool to see that it has finally been given the novelization treatment, courtesy of Christian Francis.
