COLUMBIA, S.C. (BVM) - The 2024-25 NCAA women's basketball season delivered thrilling action and excitement. In the end, the UConn Huskies claimed their 12th national championship, a perfect sendoff for senior guard Paige Bueckers. Now, several teams will look to challenge the Huskies next season and cut down the nets themselves in 2026. Bueckers and many other notable seniors will be moving on this offseason, while multiple star players have already transferred to new teams.

PITTSBURGH (BVM) - Papa Amadou Kante has entered the transfer portal after two years at Pittsburgh . Kante, a native of Senegal, moved to the United States in 2019 and emerged as a four-star, top-100 recruit in the Class of 2023 at South Kent High School in Connecticut. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound center missed his first season at Pitt after suffering a knee injury in September 2023. Kante returned to the floor this season, seeing limited playing time.

TEMPE, Ariz. (BVM) - Arizona State freshman forward Amier Ali has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Sun Devils. Ali was a four-star prospect and ranked in the top 100 nationally in the Class of 2024 coming out of high school. In his lone season with the Sun Devils, he averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds, playing 19 minutes per game while starting four contests.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (BVM) - Malique Ewin is in the transfer portal after spending one season at Florida State . Ewin began his collegiate career at in 2022, seeing action in just 14 games as a freshman. The 6-foot-11 forward spent the 2023-24 season at the JUCO level with South Plains where he became an NJCAA first-team All-American.
