On April 10th at approximately 5:33PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle rollover crash near the intersectionof Cty A and Dry Hollow Rd, in Ellenboro Township. When deputies arrived, they learned 22 year old Keysean Johnson, of Lancaster, was traveling west on CTH A in his 2007 Ford Focus. Johnson lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline, and entered a field to the south. When the vehicle entered the field, it began to overturn.

On April 4th at approximately 3:19pm, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single-vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of Mt. Ridge Roadand Graham Road in Mt. Ida Township. It was reported that the female driver had started running away from the scene, but then startedwalking back toward her vehicle. Officers with the Fennimore Police Department also responded to the crash and were first on scene.

On 3/26/2025 the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at a residence located at 530 Hanover Hill Lane, Waukon, IA in rural Allamakee County. During the welfare check, ten dogs were located in the residence with two of the dogs being deceased. The owner of the dogs, Nathaniel Thomas Coleman (28 years of age) was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail.

On Monday March 24, 2025 at approximately 7:45am the Prairie du Chien Police Department was dispatched to an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Iowa Street and South Marquette Road. Officers responded and located an excavator and skid steer that were being hauled on trailer behind a dump truck had overturned. The dump truck was being operated by Austin Goodwater, age 32 of Prairie du Chien. The trailer overturned while the vehicle was negotiating the round-a-bout at the intersection.

After a 3-month long investigation the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ethan Grant Guyer JR, 59 of Elgin on March 18, 2025. Guyer is being charged with 2 counts of Theft in the 2nd Degree (Felony), Fraudulent Practice 1st Degree (Felony) and Meat and Poultry License Violation (Simple Misdemeanor). Guyer was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was later released.

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at approximately 9:00 a.m., The Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle rollover crash, on Highway 133, just west of the city in the Town of Boscobel. During the investigation it was determined Colleen Berent, 52, of Boscobel, was traveling east on Highway 133 in a 2002 Saturn L300 when she looked away from the road to answer her cell phone.
