The Southeast Missouri baseball and softball teams finalized and released their 2025 spring season schedules Tuesday, with the two combining for 43 total home games this season. Southeast baseball leads the pack with 30 games scheduled to be played at Capaha Field, while Redhawk softballs 13 games hosted in 2025 makes up just over 30 percent of the schedule.

The Indians, having rolled Seckman for a second consecutive year in the Class 6 District 1 championship as the No. 2 seed, are ready and raring to go for a matchup with District 2-winning Kirkwood this Friday night.

It’s the second week of the postseason, but the first opportunity for many of our local teams to take the field for the start of the playoffs after a series of byes. The biggest win of last week might have just belonged to Poplar Bluff, who avenged an earlier loss to Farmington with a blowout victory to move up in both the local rankings and the postseason ladder.
