I have been working with Ridge for a few years now testing their wallets—which is Ridge’s original product—as well as their other daily carry items like key carriers, pens, and more. We got our first Inflatable Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) off Amazon for about $120. It was on the short and narrow side, was extremely basic, and had just enough weight capacity for me and my fiance. It was essentially a test to see if we would use the board enough. Needless to say, I was absolutely stoked to test out Retrospec’s premium iSUP offering, The Weekender Plus.

Living out in Utah takes me to some great places, but to get there, you’re on dirt and gravel roads, some with more rocks than others. That had led me to desire a more all-terrain tire to have peace of mind when getting to trailheads and campsites. The AT tire market is competitive, to keep their edge, Kumho revamped their AT tire offering releasing the successor to the AT51. I got a chance to check them out on my 2015 Subaru Outback.

Another humble garage-roots company, Soundboks was started by 3 high school friends in Denmark. They started off on a mission to satisfy their own needs – durable, big sound speakers that could keep the party rolling all night long. I’ve been seeing more and more Arbor snowboards out on the mountain, and I’ve always been drawn to their clean designs and exposed wood top sheet aesthetic. Naturally, I jumped on the chance to give Arbor a look during the 23/24 snowboarding season out here in Utah. Imagine you’re living in San Francisco a few years from now and in one day, you’re able to go to work at your office in downtown San Francisco, fly to Napa in 15 minutes for an incredible lunch with friends (a drive that usually takes 2+ hours because you have to go all the way around the bay), fly back and finish work and then take a 10 minute sunset flight over the Santa Cruz mountains for dinner with friends in Monterey Bay area (a drive that usually takes an hour and half+ from SF).
