Campus Ministry hosted the “Healing Prayer for the City of Angels” vigil on the steps of Sacred Heart Chapel on Wednesday, Jan.16. Community members gathered to participate in interfaith prayer for those affected by ongoing fires in the Los Angeles. Just after the vigil, community members wrote prayers on stained glass in the shape of California to honor those affected by the fire and commemorate lives lost.

The Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts (BCLA) is taking steps to further educate students on artificial intelligence (AI) through the development of an “artificial intelligence, ethics and society," spearheaded by an AI task force. This proposed addition comes two years after the widespread adoption of OpenAI's ChatGPT in classrooms. Prior to stepping into his role as the new dean of BCLA, Richard Fox, Ph.D., surveyed BCLA’s 175 faculty about how the college could best support their teaching.

Here is Anthony Fauci, then chief medical advisor to the president [Joe Biden] talking about those darn curves. Anthony Fauci: If you look at the curves of outbreaks, you know, they go big peaks, and they come down. What we need to do is flatten that down. That would have less people infected. That would ultimately have less deaths.

Coleman Standifer (C.S.): It's kind of just crazy that you can go back and hear history like this. S.H.: I mean, did these people even know that there would be kids three generations from them who would just be sitting here talking about this?

WASHINGTON— Thousands of Pro-Palestinian protesters marched towards the U.S. Capitol building to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress. They were met by the New York Police Department (NYPD) — who were brought in to help contain the protest — and Capitol police just blocks away from where the prime minister was addressing U.S. lawmakers.
