A Rohnert Park man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole for killing a former high school classmate whose body was discovered buried on Sonoma State University property in 2016. Daniel Carrillo received the sentence after a jury in February convicted him of first-degree murder in the death of Kirk Kimberly, who was last seen Oct. 17, 2016. Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Mark Urioste presided over Thursday's hearing.
