The Terrebonne Parish Sherriff’s Office has arrested one of its own. Lt. Chad White, 38, was arrested May 28 and fired after non-consensually sharing nude images of another person to others within the agency. He is charged with one count of nonconsensual disclosure of a private image. If convicted, the charge carries up to a $10,000 fine and/or two years in jail.

The Terrebonne Parish Council is grappling with how to investigate allegations against its employees. There were three items on the council's May 27 agenda proposed executive sessions to discuss how to approach the matter: two written by Council Chairman Carl Harding and one by Councilwoman Kim Chauvin. All three items were voted down, and the Policies and Procedures Committee adjourned without taking any action.
