CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - James Island residents have reported a water outage caused by a water main break on Tuesday night. The outage started around 8 p.m. in the area of Dills Bluff Road and in and around Lawton Bluff subdivision, and has caused 80 customers to be out of water, Charleston Water System Public Information Administrator Mike Saia says. Water is estimated to be restored around 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Wednesday. A repair time of five hours was sent at 7:55 p.m.This is a developing story.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Georgetown County deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teen. Montrel Bowers-Sanders, 14, left AMIkids Georgetown around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and was walking towards US-17 along CCC Road, sheriff’s spokesperson Heather Pelham says. Officials say that he could have made his way to Pennyroyal Road. Bowers-Sanders was last seen wearing a white tank top and black shorts.

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who has been missing since 2024. William Jetter, 41, was last seen on July 14, 2024, near his home at Glen Street and Tram Road in Walterboro, according to the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office. Jetter stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 208 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and short facial hair.

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered man. Benjamin Arthur Stevenson, 27, of Bluffton, was reported missing on Monday afternoon by family after not speaking with him since about 1 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. On Monday afternoon, Stevenson’s vehicle was found unoccupied in Jasper County along I-95. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the search.

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to arson in Colleton County in 2023 that caused injuries and the death of a pet bird. Brian Jetter, 23, pleaded guilty on Monday to second-degree arson and cruelty to animals and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, Sgt. Laura Rutland says. Jetter started a fire at a home where he was a previous tenant in Green Pond on June 19, 2023. The male victim woke up to his home on fire and sustained serious injuries.

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged two people with animal neglect on Monday. Douglas James Carder, 64, and Amanda Jean Carder, 58, were each charged with 12 counts of ill-treatment of animals and 12 counts of failure to inoculate pets for rabies, according to Cpl. Carli Carr. Deputies performed a search warrant on June 18 at a home on Compton Drive after multiple complaints of aggressive dogs walking around the Windwood neighborhood.
