"We're seeing this increasingly become not just a property crime, it's increasingly becoming a violent crime," Salazar told the Texas House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence this month. SAN ANTONIO — Drivers in North Bexar County may notice new high-tech cameras on their daily commutes, designed to catch speeders. Precinct 3 Constable Mark Vojvodich and his deputies are the first in Texas to begin deploying these cameras equipped with LIDAR technology. "This is a much more accurate, much less intrusive, and a safer way to identify cars that are speeding, both for the officer and the people who get a citation," said Vojvodich.
